Trying to blog from my phone! it's a clever little thing so all should work! not typing as fast as I would have liked to but better then having to carry heavy machinery with me!

last night no sleep as started to worry about what I had forgotton to do prior to our departure on Saturday! One was not downloaded an app for my phone! oh horror quick...

so if this works and maybe I try to upload a picture too (I know level two here I come) then tick tick that worry is off the list and maybe can rest tonight!

8 countries in 6 weeks you do the maths

The plan is leaving London to Bangkok, Bangkok overground to Cambodia (hoping we clear the border with no problems), Cambodia to Vietnam, Vietnam to Singapore, Singapore to Bali, Bali to Australia, Australia to New Zealand, New Zealand to Hong Kong and Hong Kong back to London. Don't ask me how I will be feeling coming back, but preparing to embark on this journey feels great.
So we were going to backpack it. But the only backpacks in sight are our bags, otherwise we are flying everywhere and travelling in stye.

Two weeks to go...

Well the long awaited day is dawning upon us. Are we ready?
We have been preparing ourselves for this epic trip for over 10 months. With the spark of idea originating on a car journey to Shropshire.
Last chance to see the world before starting a family? Although if you ask me traveling as a kid were some of the most happiest moments.

Anyway...
The bags are bought - of course matching his and hers. But what we put in them is a different matter. You'll be glad to know we also bought the whole range of medicine available in Boots. From plasters to water purifying tablets. But try and buy syringes - we can't!!!! Boots are worried we might be drug abusers. But what if we are isn't it better to have safe needles and syringes rather than infected ones? That's not the topic at hand in this blog. I am creating this digital space to be able to update family and friends on our adventures and more importantly our exact location. However this will be a great memory for years to come and to one day show the kids. How cool your mum and dad were!
